Details Computed Tomography department setting 12-hour day shifts: Friday 0730-2000, Saturday-Sunday 0900-2130 36 hours per week across 3 days Rotating call and assigned holidays required Uses CT equipment, contrast injector systems, and electronic imaging systems Epic charting system used Radiation badge required, typically provided by the facility Requirements ARRT(R) certification required ARRT(R)(CT) certification preferred BLS (AHA) certification required and must not expire prior to start Associate degree required 1-2 years of CT and acute care experience preferred License required if applicable Fluoroscopy certification preferred for Colorado-based positions Strong understanding of sectional anatomy, anatomic terminology, and positioning competency Proficiency in CT imaging techniques and protocols Knowledge of contrast administration protocols and injector operation Ability to recognize and respond to emergent patient situations Strong communication and prioritization skills Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration Additional Information Perform a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes Verify patient identification and orders, and prepare patients for exams Review and evaluate images for quality, clarity, and accuracy Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment Administer contrast media under physician or radiologist supervision and provide related patient education Coordinate patient care and communicate with other care providers following procedures Practice infection control and sterile techniques Maintain accurate records of procedures and any adverse reactions or incidents Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, and QC programs May assist in training students and other radiology technologists on protocols and procedures Background check and drug screen results required, with reporting to the lab within 24 hours of assignment commitment Returning Intermountain employees must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before eligibility for a travel assignment American Traveler Job ID #P-772461.
