You'll be a key part of our mission to deliver exceptional care to every patient, every day.ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesEscort patients to exam rooms and treatment areasRecord vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication updatesPrepare and stock exam rooms; order supplies as neededAssist with exams and proceduresAdminister injections (subcutaneous/intramuscular) as delegatedMaintain room disinfection protocolsAnswer patient calls and relay messages to clinical staffPhone in prescriptions and follow up with patientsSupport administrative tasks: scheduling, chart prep, filing, and receptionQualificationsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredGraduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred0–3 years of experience in a clinical settingCurrent BCLS certification (or obtained within 3 months of hire)Certified Medical Assistant preferredMust meet any state-specific certification requirementsPhysical & Work EnvironmentRequires standing/walking for long periods and occasional lifting (up to 40 lbs)Exposure to typical oncology clinic conditions including communicable diseases and medical substancesReasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilitiesWhy Join Southern Cancer Center?Be part of a compassionate, expert-driven oncology teamWork in a supportive environment that values collaboration and growthMake a difference in the lives of patients and their families
