Description
- Perform weekly inspections and maintenance of various wastewater facilities located throughout the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation.
- Perform maintenance and repair of the wastewater systems and their facilities.
- Record inspections, maintenance, and repairs made to wastewater facilities in conformance with U.S. EPA Region 8 standards.
- Properly collect, store, and deliver wastewater effluent for testing.
- On call response to emergencies and the breakdown of wastewater systems and their facilities.
- Operate, maintain, and repair department vehicles and heavy equipment.
- Maintain and repair department facilities.
- Load vehicles with bulk water for delivery.
- Deliver bulk water to various homesites.
- Clean/dispose of septic tank sewage at various homesites.
- Ensure a safe work environment and that safety standards are met.
- Work towards receiving certifications in wastewater collection and wastewater treatment.
- Maintain open communication with the immediate supervisor and department director.
- Other duties as assigned.
