Municipal Design Engineer

A municipal design engineer plans and designs infrastructure projects for a municipality, such as roads, bridges, and water systems. They also ensure that projects are implemented correctly and in compliance with local regulations.

Position Type: Full Time

Office: Malvern, and Easton, PA

Salary Range: $60,000 to $90,000 annually

Responsibilities:

Design tasks include stormwater and detention basin, and infrastructure rehabilitation, various state and local permitting.
Report preparation.
Preparation of permit applications.
Review of subdivision plans and utility plans submitted by developers for approval.
Review development plans for conformance with local ordinances, including subdivision and land development, zoning, grading, stormwater, escrow accounts, construction administration.

Qualifications

Requirements:

B.S. in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 2 years experience in site civil or municipal design
Proficient in using AutoCAD Civil 3D for municipal type projects.
Registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is preferred.
