Staff Pharmacist

Overview Performs duties of distribution, documentation, and compounding related to drugs, solutions, and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for reviewing, compounding, dispensing, and monitoring medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including dosing variations, nutritional needs, and disease states associated with these age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities, monitoring all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice. Provides patient-focused clinical care throughout the hospital to ensure optimal medication therapy. Qualifications Education Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a bachelor's or higher in Pharmacy. Work Experience No experience required. Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
