Job Description: This job is responsible for testing and delivering complex software to accomplish business outcomes. The job establishes testing scope and coordinates test execution. Key responsibilities of the job include overseeing testing practices ensuring that software is tested to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, conditioning and generating test data, building and executing both manual and automated test suites, recording and communicating the test results, triage defects, and ensuring regression test suites are maintained and well designed. Responsibilities: Develops detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements Leads test planning at the team level; ensures user stories are refined with clear acceptance criteria Leads test case reviews and collaborates with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure adequate test coverage and alignment Identifies automation opportunities and develops automated tests where applicable Executes manual and automated test cases and records results Designs and manages test data, ensuring data compliance across all test environments Defines and drives testing and automation strategies, including frameworks, processes, defect management, and reporting, across teams and cross-functional efforts Builds quality into the SDLC by optimizing test processes and implementing best practices and tools across the application stack (UI, API, Backend) Develops and enhances test automation frameworks and tools, and leads test planning for complex, cross-team or platform-wide features Optimizes test suites using techniques such as risk-based testing; manages execution and escalates issues impacting test plans Reports, triages, and helps resolve or escalate defects with appropriate context Maintains traceability across the development lifecycle, linking requirements to test cases and supporting code promotion across environments Skills: Analytical Thinking Application Development Automation Business Acumen Test Engineering Influence Solution Delivery Process Stakeholder Management Technical Strategy Development User Experience Design Agile Practices Architecture Collaboration DevOps Practices Solution Design Required Qualifications: 8 or more years of hands on experience in reference data space, especially for Client Onboarding highly preferred Proven experience with ALM, JIRA, qTest and Automation Tools Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with quick adaptation to new technologies, methodologies, and systems Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to convey message to a broad audience Ability to work in a cross functional, collaborative team environment Seeks out best practices to find opportunities for improvements in test execution process Desired Qualifications: Strong ETL and Database Query building skills Experience with Test Automation, scripting and Regression testing. Experience with defect management systems such as JIRA. Waterfall and Agile methodologies Shift: 1st shift (United States of America) Hours Per Week: 40 Pay Transparency details US - NJ - Jersey City - 101 Hudson St - 101 Hudson (NJ2101) Pay and benefits information Pay range $89,700.00 - $128,500.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set. Discretionary incentive eligible This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. (For example, don't mention your fondness for swimming unless you want to work on the water.) • Don't use italics, underlining, shadows or other fancy treatments. Seven steps to a successful interview 1. Anticipate –Put yourself in the interviewer's position. What do you believe the interviewer is most interested in? Why do you think you have been invited to interview? 2. Research –What are the primary functions of the line of business? What are the success factors for the job? Is there a job description available? 3. Assess –Think about your skills, abilities, knowledge, interests, traits, values and accomplishments. Match them to what you know about the job. Consider which ones you should highlight. 4. Prepare Answers –Think about what the interviewer may ask, determine what the best answer is and write it down. 5. Prepare Questions – Interviewing is a two-way street. By asking thoughtful questions, you communicate your interest and learn a lot about the job. Choose two or three questions to ask your interviewer. Avoid asking a lot of questions about vacation time or breaks. 6. Practice – It may seem awkward, but it is the best way to come across well in an interview. Practice your own "great responses" with others or in front of a mirror until you appear relaxed and at ease. 7. Follow-up – Send a brief follow-up letter to the interviewer.
