Utilities Supervisor
Leprino Foods Co
Leprino Foods’ history dates back over 65 years, when Jim Leprino first started making small batches of mozzarella for local markets and eateries in the Little Italy neighborhood of Denver. We’ve grown a bit since then. Today, Leprino is the world’s largest manufacturer of mozzarella and lactose, and a leading producer of whey protein. Still owned by Jim and the Leprino family, our sights are set to be the “World’s Best Dairy Food and Ingredient Company.” To help us achieve that bold vision, we’re looking for our secret ingredient: You. A motivated team member who is the best at what you do. Three people in a small corner grocery store in the early 1950s have now grown to over 4,300 employees throughout 16 global locations. Within our 600-person manufacturing facility in Roswell, Leprino is seeking a Utilities Supervisor to lead critical plant utility systems, including ammonia refrigeration, steam, power, and compressed air, while supporting larger levels of cheese and dairy ingredient growth. We take pride in our vision to be the world’s best, which is why we invest in safe, compliant operations, resilient infrastructure, and continuous improvement. What You’ll Do:
- Lead daily utilities operations that support safe, reliable production across ammonia refrigeration, steam, power, compressed air, water, and energy systems.
- Guide and develop a utilities team responsible for PSM-covered and high-risk plant infrastructure.
- Support compliance with OSHA, PSM, EPA, NFPA, IIAR, and related regulatory requirements tied to utility systems.

- Partner with EHS, engineering, and plant leadership during audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
- Contribute to utility system improvements, upgrades, and operational adjustments that improve reliability and efficiency.
- Reinforce safe work practices, permit processes, and lockout/tagout standards across utilities operations.
- Communicate clearly with plant leadership, maintenance, and production teams to align priorities and expectations.
- Build an engaged utilities team through mentoring, training, and visible day-to-day leadership!
- 5+ years of experience supporting industrial utility systems in a manufacturing environment.
- 1+ year of experience leading, mentoring, or directing the work of others.
- Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Experience working with PSM-covered systems, including ammonia refrigeration or similarly regulated systems.
- Working knowledge of industrial utilities such as boilers, steam, compressed air, electrical distribution, and refrigeration.
- Ability to support maintenance and utilities operations in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
- Comfortable using computer systems and learning SAP or similar maintenance platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
