Assistant Director of Nursing / RN

Full-Time | $5,000 * | From $90,000 per year * Available Shifts: 7-3 Overview The Assistant Director of Nursing Services/RN Supervisor receives general supervision from the Director of Nursing Services (DON). The Assistant Director of Nursing Services/RN Supervisor will supervise the licensed nurses and the nursing assistants in the overall care of residents. The Assistant Director of Nursing Services/RN Supervisor will comply with established policies and operational procedures. In the absence of the Director of Nursing, the Assistant Director of Nursing Services/RN Supervisor will accept advice and instruction from the Administrator. Key Responsibilities The Assistant Director of Nursing Services/RN Supervisor is responsible for the implementation of health-related programs, services and activities that enhance, promote and maintain resident health independence. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services, the Assistant Director of Nursing Services/RN Supervisor will supervise the facility and provide hands-on care when indicated. In addition, the Assistant Director of Nursing Services/RN Supervisor will maintain departmental schedules and records in order to assure compliance with guidelines, rules, and regulations of the facility’s governing board and/or licensing agencies. Supervision of nursing team, including Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants and Registered Medication Aides Ensure proper documentation and accurate resident care records Comply with company policies and procedures and state/federal regulations Perform assessments Complete care plans and participate in care plan meetings Participate in staff training Provide or delegate hands-on care as needed Other tasks as requested by the DON Qualifications CPR certification or ability to acquire within 60 days Experience in senior care is preferred Must be able to lift a minimum of 45 lbs. and to bend, crawl, stoop, push, and lift in order to deliver care and services as needed. Practices safety procedures and complies with established reporting of accidents and injuries. * Sign-on bonuses are offered in incremental payments over a 24-month period for full-time positions only.
