Substitute CustodianEssential Job Functions:Maintain a cooperative relationship with coworkers, staff, students, and the public.Sweep, mop, wax, and polish floors and sidewalk areas, vacuum carpets.Empty wastebaskets & other refuse containers.Clean bathrooms, classrooms, & offices, replenish supplies.Qualifications:Knowledge of cleaning methodsUse of cleaning materials & equipmentSafety standards & practicesAbility to:Climb & work on laddersComprehend and follow oral and written instructionsExperience:Prior custodial or janitorial work experience preferred.Physical Requirements:In an eight-hour day, employee may stand/walk 5-6 hoursDrive 1-2 hoursSit 3-4 hoursStoop/squat/bend 1-2 hoursLift/carry 1-2 hours up to a weight of 50 lbsClimb stairs occasionallyUse hands for repetitive motions frequentlyUse feet for repetitive movements frequentlyNote: If hired, no unauthorized comments or postings about district business or students are allowed on social media.
