• Number of L&D Beds: 11 and 7 antepartum/high risk beds
• Number of OR Suites: 2
• Number of Triage Beds: 3
• Number of Postpartum Beds: 24
• Number of Births per Day, per Year: 4000
• Do ratios follow AWHONN guidelines? To the best of our ability

Required Certifications:

• BLS
• ACLS
• NRP
• AWHONN-Int

Common Diagnoses/Types of Patients:

• Pre eclampsia (hypertensive disorders)
• Gestational and insulin dependent diabetes
• High BMI
• Multiples
• Pre term labor
• AMA
• Substance abuse disorders

Experience or 'Must Have' Skills:

• High Risk OB/Triage/OR circulating
• Surgical admission and recovery

Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes

Common Titratable &/or Set Rate Drips:

• Pitocin
• Insulin

Charge Nurse/House Supervisor:

Charge nurse

Are there nurse aids/surgical techs on this unit? CNAs and Surgical techs

OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7? OBHG in house 24/7 Neo or NICU Adv. practice provider available 24/7

RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc): Yes for NICU

Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? No
