Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Rotating holidays and weekends | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to an adult and geriatric patient population on a Medical-Surgical unit managing a wide variety of medical and surgical conditions
• Manage complex patients with multiple comorbidities, delivering both pre- and post-operative care
• Independently interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
• Maintain strong assessment skills while managing multiple high-acuity patients within a 1:5–6 patient ratio
• Document and manage patient care using the MEDITECH electronic health records system
• Complete required facility onboarding modules prior to start date via the Net Learning online portal

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical RN experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license must be in hand at the time of submission — no exceptions
• Current BLS certification required
• MEDITECH experience required
• Ability to independently interpret cardiac rhythms
• Local travelers are welcome; rates are the same regardless of proximity to the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for geriatric populations with complex, multi-system conditions
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-acuity patients in a fast-paced Medical-Surgical environment
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt to rotating schedules including holidays and weekends
