Project Manager

The Field Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing field operations for Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) projects. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with client specifications. The Field Project Manager collaborates closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to coordinate execution, remove obstacles, and drive project success. Responsibilities Supervise and manage field crews and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution Plan, assign, and coordinate work activities across field teams Monitor project budgets and ensure financial targets are maintained Ensure timely and accurate billing, including proper documentation of field changes and additional scope Travel between job sites to monitor progress and ensure adherence to project timelines and client expectations Enforce compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures Provide coaching, guidance, and training to field personnel Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, municipalities, and stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain project momentum Ensure projects are completed in alignment with contractual requirements and quality standards Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecommunications or utility construction Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in FTTH projects Strong ability to read and interpret utility plans, drawings, and contracts Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills with high attention to detail Effective written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to multiple job sites Benefits Group benefits and 401K program Employee assistance program – confidential support for stress, sleep, and budget concerns Employee perks including discounts from suppliers on insurance, wireless bundles, movie tickets, travel, software, books, and more A dynamic working environment where you can develop your potential Training for technical positions Health and safety first: our number one priority Telecon is committed to providing a fair, inclusive, equitable, accessible and respectful workplace for all, regardless of age, gender, race, creed or background.
