ABA Insurance Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS) Department: ABA Insurance Services Reports To: Program Director of Clinical ABA Services FLSA Status: Exempt Employment Type: Full-Time (Based On 40 hours/week), W-2 (Benefits Eligible) Salary Range: $50–$60.00 an hour(commensurate with experience) THIS POSITION REQUIRES SERVICE DELIVERY ACROSS CLIENT HOME, CLINIC, SCHOOL, AND COMMUNITY SETTINGS THROUGHOUT PHILADELPHIA AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES. Position Summary The Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS) provides behavioral assessment, clinical oversight, and treatment support within ALFS’s ABA Insurance Program. Services are delivered across home, clinic, school, and community settings. The LBS works collaboratively with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), the Lead BCBA, Lead RBT, Assistant Director of Service Delivery, and the Clinical Director to ensure high-quality, ethical, and medically necessary ABA services are delivered consistently across programs. This role includes both direct and indirect billable responsibilities and requires strong clinical judgment, interdisciplinary collaboration, and insurance-compliant documentation practices. Essential Responsibilities Clinical Assessment & Treatment Planning Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) Develop, implement, and revise Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) Contribute to comprehensive ABA treatment plans in collaboration with clinical leadership Analyze behavioral data and create graphs to monitor client progress Ensure goals are measurable, individualized, and aligned with medical necessity criteria Service Delivery & Insurance Compliance Implement clinical service delivery goals consistent with agency policies and payer requirements Maintain required billable productivity standards Complete documentation in accordance with commercial insurance and IBHS standards Participate in reauthorization processes and peer reviews as required Ensure compliance with all state, licensing, and regulatory requirements Clinical Collaboration & Leadership Alignment Collaborate closely with BCBAs and the Lead BCBA regarding treatment planning and case oversight Partner with the Lead RBT to support implementation fidelity and staff development Work alongside the Assistant Director of Service Delivery to ensure scheduling efficiency, service consistency, and quality assurance Maintain open communication with the Clinical Director regarding clinical concerns, ethical considerations, and program development Participate in interdisciplinary case reviews and clinical team meetings Supervision & Staff Support Provide supervision and clinical guidance to ABA-PCA, BHT, and RBT staff Model implementation of behavioral protocols Provide performance feedback and skill-building support Monitor treatment fidelity and consistency across service settings Family Collaboration Provide caregiver training aligned with treatment plans Support generalization of skills across environments Maintain professional, timely communication with families and stakeholders Professional Skills & Qualifications Required Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or related field Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS) in good standing with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Minimum 2–3 years of experience in ABA and/or behavioral health settings Proficiency conducting Functional Behavior Assessments Experience writing behavior plans and progress reports Strong professional writing and documentation skills Experience with data collection, graphing, and progress monitoring Knowledge of IBHS and commercial insurance requirements Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred BCBA certification or actively pursuing BCBA credential Experience supervising RBTs or BHT staff Experience in clinic and community-based ABA service models Experience using EMR systems (Rethink, CentralReach, etc.) Benefits Competitive salary 401(k) with employer contribution Blue Cross Blue Shield medical coverage Dental and vision insurance 4+ weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO) annually, inclusive of vacation, holidays, and sick leave PTO accrual and usage are administered in accordance with ALFS policy and applicable local regulations Professional development and advancement opportunities within ALFS Equal Opportunity Employer Abundant Life Family Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
