Medical Assistant
Black Women's Mental Health Institute
The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care within the scope of Ohio regulations, working under the supervision of providers, registered nurses, and practice managers.
Responsibilities include welcoming and rooming patients, recording vital signs, reviewing medical histories, performing blood draws, injections, and EKGs, and managing patient communications via EPIC.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with 1-2 years of medical experience, or a health-related degree with medical assisting training preferred.
Certification such as Medical Assistant Certification or registration is preferred, along with current BLS/CPR certification.
Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of medical assisting experience or 2-3 years of medical office experience.
Skills required include patient care, communication, and proficiency with electronic health records.
