Speech and Language Pathologist in Avondale, AZ

Step into an essential role supporting students' communication and learning as a school-based speech-language pathologist. This contract position is located onsite near Avondale, AZ, serving elementary students during the 2026-2027 academic year. You'll collaborate with educators and staff, building positive relationships to help children thrive in the school environment.


Key Qualifications:

• Current Arizona state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
• Possession of a valid SLP Educator Certificate
• Current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
• Experience providing speech-language services in a school-based setting
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work full-time onsite and manage a diverse caseload

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and assess students for speech, language, and communication needs
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
• Provide direct therapy to students as outlined in IEPs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and session notes
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to support student success
• Stay informed of current best practices and comply with all state and federal guidelines
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing parent communication
