Non-Ferrous Supervisor

Overview OmniSource. Manage the day-to-day operations of the yard. Ensure safety of employees and quality of the product. Responsibilities Develop, lead, train, and discipline all employees within the department. Ensure compliance in safety, environment, and personnel issues that may arise. Manage inventory on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Achieve established goals for labor, uptime, quality, and safety. Ensure product is consistent with customer specifications. Confirm quality and recovery. Maintain accurate inventory. Ability to work with and understand margin reports. All other tasks as assigned. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Adherence to retail purchase requirements. Working knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Access. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to train and motivate others. Understanding and adherence to safety regulations. Ability to work in all types of weather conditions. Ability to lift 50 lbs or more as required. Minimum of five years supervisory or lead experience in an industrial setting. Knowledge of environmental best management practices. Qualifications Minimum five years of supervisory or lead experience in an industrial environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Access. Ability to train, motivate, and manage a diverse team. Physical capability to lift 50 lbs or more as required. Ability to operate in all weather conditions and maintain safety standards. Understanding of safety regulations and environmental practices.
