Warehouse SpecialistThe Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties requiring utilization of the government's automated work management system and Alutiiq LLC's storage plan. Keeps supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered and identify and reports safety, environmental and other work requirements for resolution.Responsibilities include:Verifies materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, processes "receiving' in both the government's automated work program and Alutiiq LLC's computer program, and routes hard copy documentation to appropriate departments.Routes materials to prescribed storage locations, storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, ensuring locations are accurately noted in the government's automated work management system.Drives company vehicle in order to pick-up materials as well as deliver contract deliverables to correct agencies and materials to worksites as well as obtaining correct signatures on vendor Invoices and Alutiiq LLC purchase orders (PO's).Maintains inventory of stored material to identify discrepancies, etc. as directed.Operates forklifts.Interfaces with customers and responsible for customer feedback, as applicable.Operates motor vehicles in accordance with company vehicle policies.Compiles with applicable federal, state, United States Air Force (USAF) and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) environmental laws and regulations.Complies with health and safety rules and procedures; performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.Will at all times wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as determined by position and duties.Performs other related duties as assigned.Accurate, timely, and cost-effective performance of duties.Working harmoniously with customers and fellow co-workers.Maintaining strict confidentiality of all Alutiiq LLC related matters.Accountable for assigned tools, materials and equipment.Cleanliness and safety of shop and work areas.Unload and inspect supplies and material from various suppliersNotify buyer and supplier of shipment discrepanciesNotify responsible individual of the supplies and material upon arrivalEnter receipts and information into CMMSCreate and maintain files for all purchased items and monthly invoicesStore property in warehousesIssue stock items to work ordersPrepare and ship outgoing items from warehouseAnnual physical inventory of all warehousesEvaluate inventory for usage and excess stockHelp with disposal of obsolete and excess materialsLocate requested items and research availability and pricesPick up and deliver to/from various locations throughout the outlying areasSafely operate handcarts, forklifts and vehiclesClean, maintain and schedule repairs for warehouse equipment and vehiclesKeep an organized and clean warehouse facilityAssist with security inspections (lock doors and gates)Assist with snow removal at warehouse facilityRun inventory and reordering reportsEnter daily timesheet and keep monthly spreadsheet matrixAttend weekly meetingsField phone call and emails from co-worker, suppliers and transport centersDeliver mail daily between the administration building and warehouseClerical Duties and Administrative SupportMaintain office supplies (copier, fax, printer and shredder)Required Qualifications and Experience:High School diploma or equivalency.Valid state driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of valid insurance.Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.)Minimum 2 years' supply and/or warehouse experienceMinimum 2 years' Forklift experience.Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licenses/IDs/certifications.Ability to solve problems and work independently with minimal supervision.Ability to adapt to changes in technology.Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional & courteous manner in diverse situations.Demonstrated working ability read, write, speak and understand English.Obtain or maintain Government approvalEducation Level - High School or EquivalentComputer Usage to include experience with Microsoft OfficeValid Driver's LicenseForklift Operations RequiredPosition may require lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. Walking, standing for extended periods of time, bending, squatting, reaching over shoulder, pushing, pulling tasks may be needed.
