Environmental Technician

We are seeking an experienced Technician III, Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) to support a highly technical advanced manufacturing operation in Long Beach, CA. This is a hands-on, lead-level position supporting day-to-day EHS activities across production, mechanical, and facility environments. T he ideal candidate brings strong experience with hazardous waste and chemical safety, industrial equipment safety, regulatory compliance, and high-voltage electrical environments.W hat You'll DoM anage hazardous metal and chemical waste programs, including labeling, storage, accumulation areas, inspections, manifesting, and vendor coordination.S upport environmental monitoring related to air, water, waste streams, and sustainability programs.S upport electrical safety programs involving 4 80V systems and high-voltage equipment. V erify lockout/tagout procedures and support energized work permitting.O versee safety requirements for cranes, hoists, aerial lifts, and powered industrial equipment.T rack equipment certifications and coordinate required safety inspections.S upport compliance with O SHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, and applicable industry standards. A ssist with regulatory permits, inventories, compliance submissions, and required reporting.P articipate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action follow-up.S upport emergency response activities, including spills, evacuation drills, first aid, and electrical incidents.R espond to workplace medical incidents within the scope of training and maintain first aid and AED equipment.M aintain EHS records, permits, SDS files, inspection logs, and compliance documentation.C onduct or coordinate EHS training for employees and contractors.P artner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.4 to 7+ years of EHS or related technical experience, preferably within aerospace, industrial manufacturing, or chemical handling environments.St rong knowledge of hazardous waste management, including RC RA, chemical safety, and environmental compliance.Wo rking knowledge of high-voltage electrical safety. NF PA 70E experience preferred.Ex perience supporting cranes, hoists, aerial lifts, and powered industrial vehicles.Ab ility to interpret safety regulations, technical documents, and applicable codes.St rong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.Ab ility to independently identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and lead daily EHS activities.Pr eferred CertificationsOS
