Patient Care Representative

Patient Care Representative Job Summary Patient Care Representatives are responsible for maintaining a friendly, professional environment as the first and last point-of-contact for our patients. They ensure polite, attentive, and organized service to enhance the overall patient experience. Essential Job Functions Greet and direct all patients, visitors, and staff upon entry of the practice; monitor reception areas throughout the day and provide assistance as needed. Provide a pleasant and prompt check‑in experience for all patients by verifying necessary information and assisting with questions regarding patient questionnaires and forms. Print daily team/physician schedules based on the appointment schedule. Attend to walk‑in patients, scheduling inquiries, and prescription/record pick‑up as necessary. Disseminate pertinent information using telephone systems and/or computer software. Cross‑check and update next‑day charts based on the appointment schedule. Maintain an orderly and pleasing workspace that ensures integrity and safety for patients and staff. Complete appointment confirmation calls according to the patient schedule. Collect any necessary copayments, non‑covered service fees, or account balances during patient check‑out. Fill out essential reports and forms as requested. Perform additional administrative responsibilities as needed. Competencies Demonstrated knowledge of material, methods, instruments, and equipment. Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Demonstrated ability to multi‑task, work in a fast‑paced environment, and manage time to meet organizational deadlines and requirements. Education and Experience High school diploma (associate’s degree preferred). Experience with Microsoft Office products. Prior customer service experience. Ability to work under pressure and respond to patient requests positively. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work Full‑time position located in Venice, FL. Travel to other locations as necessary.
