Job Summary
Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) position in Meridian, Idaho. This role involves working on a telemetry unit with a focus on cardiac care, stroke assessment, post-catheterization recovery, and respiratory management. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Location: Meridian, Idaho
• Schedule: Night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, with weekends and holidays as needed. shifts may include floating to similar units, Med/Surg, ICU, Boise Medical Center, or Nampa Medical Center based on operational needs.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale). Education: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) required. License: Valid license to submit is required. Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a telemetry nurse with cardiac drip experience, NIH stroke assessment experience, post-catheter recovery, and chest tube management.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with SpaceLab monitors transitioning to Philips monitors, ability to interpret telemetry readings, and float experience to ICU or other units if needed.
• Specific Unit Details:
  • Department: Telemetry
  • Nurse to patient ratios: 1:4 during regular staffing, 1:8/9 for Nurse Aides
  • Bed count: 27 beds, with an expansion in June.
  • Common diagnoses: CHF, NSTEMI, STEMI, Stroke, Sepsis, Diabetes, CAD, Renal Failure, Respiratory Failure, Pneumothorax, post-cardiac catheterization patients.
  • Equipment: CPAP, BiPAP, high flow oxygen devices (RT manages equipment).
  • Monitoring: Using SpaceLab monitors, transitioning to Philips.
  • Staffing: Charge Nurses and House Supervisors available; Nurse Aides on floor; Tele techs until June, then off-site.
  • Float: May float to like units, Med/Surg, ICU, Boise Medical Center, and Nampa Medical Center as needed.
  • Orientation: System onboarding followed by 2 orientation shifts.
  • Additional notes: No call or standby shifts required. Scrub color: Any as long as clean and professional.
• Shift & Scheduling: Placement based on operational needs, with flexibility for peer trades. No block scheduling.
• Hospital/Facility Note: This facility has a radius rule of 50 miles. Candidates must provide their permanent address to confirm eligibility.
