Portfolio Accountant

LaSalle Investment Management is currently seeking a Portfolio Accountant to support accounting and reporting for estate investment portfolios under Fair Value GAAP. The role reports to the Portfolio Controller. Responsibilities Assist in quarterly and annual accounting closes Post journal entries and complete bank reconciliations Complete quarterly financial analysis and review statements from co‑investment managers Prepare financial statements and related footnotes Identify and lead AI‑driven process improvement projects across the accounting and reporting cycle, including automating recurring tasks and building efficiencies in financial statement preparation Prepare third‑party consultant reports Accurately calculate, interpret and communicate financial performance returns Accurately complete cash management transactions and cash tracking Assist with quarterly and annual reporting requirements, year‑end audit and tax requirements Create efficiency and effectiveness in the financial reporting process to improve client services Take initiative in identifying problems and providing suggested solutions Assist with various special projects as assigned Required Qualifications & Experience 1‑3 years of accounting experience Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting CPA designation preferred; candidate will be expected to achieve CPA Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to think creatively and independently develop solutions Effectiveness in reviewing own work for accuracy Highly organized, multi‑tasker Team player who works well independently and in a team environment Strong knowledge of technical accounting concepts Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Working knowledge of AI tools and interest in applying them professionally Openness to continuous learning and evaluating new AI tools Additional Details US Jobs Only: This position does not provide visa sponsorship; applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
