We're recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join an established heavy industrial manufacturer in Rochelle, IL.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults
- Build, repair and maintain industrial gearboxes
- Minimise equipment downtime through effective troubleshooting
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Operate manual machine shop equipment including lathes, mills, drill presses and grinders
- Support parts identification and ordering when required
- Maintain maintenance records and support continuous improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years' maintenance experience within manufacturing
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and industrial machinery
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Must provide your own tools
