The role includes assessment, analysis of skills and challenging behaviors, development and oversight of treatment plans, collaboration with caregivers, and coaching of behavioral technicians. Treatment is conducted in a variety of settings including CARD centers, patients’ homes, schools, community environments, or via telehealth. Clinical Supervisors report to the Group Clinical Manager. This is a salaried, exempt, full‑time position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Use clinical judgment to promote optimal outcomes for each patient Develop and maintain treatment plans Ensure that all supervision hours are 100% treatment adherence each month Evaluate patients to identify skill deficits and strengths Analyze challenging behaviors to identify their functions Develop functionally relevant treatment plans to reduce challenging behaviors Observe treatment implementation for potential program revisions Monitor treatment integrity to ensure satisfactory implementation of protocols Direct behavior technicians in the implementation of new or revised protocols Provide ongoing coaching and training to behavioral technicians Primarily work physically within the center to support technicians and follow best practices of direct observation Summarize and analyze data to evaluate patient progress toward treatment goals and adjust protocols based on data Update treatment plans at least once per month based on patient response Fulfill a minimum of 120 payor/client authorized billable hours per month, including supervisory and therapy hours Accurately communicate treatment response to stakeholders (caregivers, payers) Coordinate care with other professionals Administer, complete, and score standardized assessments Include caregivers as part of the treatment team in consistent collaboration meetings Interact with payers in a collaborative, professional, thorough, and informative manner Engage with payers as needed for funding meetings (IEP, peer reviews) Stay up to date on best practices for ABA treatment to ensure clinical excellence Maintain appropriate documentation in Skills and the patient's medical record Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues Maintain compliance with HIPAA requirements at all times Partner consistently and effectively with center leadership and other staff Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Master’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or related field required Certification as a behavior analyst from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board required Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Empathetic and compassionate with strict confidentiality Collaborative team player with a positive, solution‑focused attitude Independent problem‑solver exercising clinical judgment Effective communicator in verbal and written formats Excellent time‑management skills in a fast‑paced environment Strong computer skills (MSExcel, Word, Outlook; ability to use new systems and iPads) Desire to continuously learn and develop skillsets Willingness to work in various locations (center, patient home, etc.) Willingness to work with a variety of patients Reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance Proficiency in English, written and verbal Work Environment Treatment may occur in a variety of settings including the patient’s home, CARD center, school, community, or via telehealth. Clinical Supervisors work both indoors and outdoors, moving between locations throughout the workday. Treatment environments may be subject to loud or excessive noise at times. Physical Requirements Ability to work with patients seated on the floor, in small chairs, or other home, school, community, and clinic environments Move frequently to gather materials and respond to patient movements, including bending, kneeling, pushing, shoving, or blocking patients Utilize continuous visual tracking to monitor patient movements and environmental circumstances Occasionally move to evade aggressive behaviors or block attempts to aggress toward others, potentially bearing a patient’s weight Teach patients to use vocal speech, articulate sound, and model speaking clearly; listen and shape vocal communication of patients Use modeling to teach gross motor skills (climbing, jumping) and fine motor skills (clapping, opening containers) Work indoors and outdoors, in various weather conditions, including community skills and school recess Lift up to 30 lbs. while assisting patients Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.
