About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Human Resources to play a pivotal role in driving key HR best practices and providing strategic direction for the full scope of the HR function. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that align with the organization's mission and goals, with a focus on building a high-performing, diverse, and inclusive culture. This role involves serving as a thought partner to the leadership team, overseeing HR operations, and partnering with various stakeholders on talent acquisition, development, and retention. The VP of HR will also be instrumental in ensuring legal compliance, and equitable practices, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Candidates for the VP of HR position at the company should have a bachelor's degree (advanced degree or MBA preferred) and at least 10 years' of progressive leadership experience in HR, ideally within a biotech or startup environment. The role requires a business-minded individual with a deep knowledge of HR functions, a successful track record in scaling organizations, and broad knowledge of legal compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, agile, and a change agent, with excellent communication, coaching, and facilitation skills. They should be passionate about the mission of the company, dedicated to its goals, and capable of building strong relationships both internally and externally. A strategic mindset, the ability to be an individual contributor, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion are essential.
