Maintenance Technician

Required Experience:

Experience in apartment, property, or hotel maintenance, handyman services, or residential repair work is strongly preferred. We're looking for someone who can think through problems and handle hands-on tasks, i ncluding snaking sewer lines when needed.

You're reliable, take ownership of your work, and care about delivering high-quality results that residents can be proud to call home. You're confident managing unit turns from start to finish and can work efficiently with minimal supervision.

You bring hands-on experience in apartment, hotel, or property maintenance, or general handyman work. You're comfortable handling a variety of repairs, including basic plumbing , electrical, painting, and general upkeep, and can think through problems as they arise.

Job Description

Maintenance Technician - Unit Turns & Plumbing Experience Required

This role is centered on completing apartment make-readies (unit turns) and supporting general maintenance across our Jackson, MS properties, with a strong emphasis on plumbing knowledge .

Responsibilities:

• Complete apartment make-readies from start to finish.
• Perform general repairs including minor carpentry, painting, fixture replacement, drywall, and hardware installation.
• Complete basic plumbing repairs (toilets, faucets, disposals, supply lines).
• Perform minor electrical work (light fixtures, outlets, switches).
• Ensure units are fully functional, clean, and move-in ready.
• Respond to work orders and document work through digital systems.
• Maintain organized and safe maintenance areas.

Requirements

• 2-3+ years of residential or multifamily maintenance experience.
• Strong make-ready / unit turn experience required.
• Working knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
• Trade experience in plumbing or electrical preferred.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license - is a must.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work in varied conditions.
• Comfortable using smartphones and digital reporting tools.
• Employment contingent upon successful background screening.
