Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Cardiac rhythm interpretation and experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone) required.

Unit Details: Patient population includes stroke, seizure, AMS, generalized weakness, AKI/CKD, falls, cellulitis, and non-healing wounds. RN ratios days/nights 1:5-6; surge staffing could increase ratios up to 1:7-8. Support includes a receptionist/HUC, 24/7 phlebotomy, 24/7 IV/VAT team, a dedicated unit pharmacist, case managers, a MedSurg clinical nurse specialist, a nurse educator, 24/7 hospitalist and APP support, and RT 24/7 for nebulizer treatments. Charge nurse is free-floating. No remote tele monitoring; unit clerk, charge/clinical supervisor, and staff are responsible to read and post every shift. Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, Phillips monitors, and Rover Communication.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. No call.

Floating Requirements: Required to float within Region 2 as needed, within scope of practice, including Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, and Central Division (CMC Main, CMC Mercy, Levine Children’s Hospital). If floating mid-shift, traveler will remain on the clock during travel between facilities.

14 days maximum time off
