Construction Foreman in Houston

Duties and Responsibilities Accurately perform material takeoffs on a regular frequency. Keep and maintain inventory of onsite material and equipment; stay neat and organized. Demonstrate a high level of skill in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings. Understand scale and transfer scale to job‑site measurements for accurate installation start/end points. Fabricate sheet‑metal transitions and offsets on the fly to keep progress moving forward. Set and attain progress goals while being mindful of the overall labor budget. Demonstrate general knowledge of basic job costing (e.g., material cost differences between chain stores and vendors). Communicate effectively with staff and general contractor representatives. Create daily progress reports with specific details; submit them in a timely manner to project management. Perform other related duties as required and assigned. Desired Skills, Certifications, and Education High level of knowledge of reading drawings, specifications, installation methods, IECC, and code enforcement. Minimum 5 years of verifiable experience in the trade. Universal EPA registration, TDLR registration, OSHA 10, First Aid, and CPR certifications. Undergo a skill assessment for guidance on placement and training needs. Hands‑on foreman position; must work as a Foreman. Knowledge of major components and installation methods including: RTUs, VAVs, Fan‑Powered Boxes, Fan Coils, Split Systems, Hydronic Systems, Chillers, Boilers, Piping, Valves, Ducting, Grilles, Registers, Diffusers, Louvers, Dampers, Fans, Fire Dampers & Hoods, Roof curbs and caps, Equipment supports and stands, Condensate and gas, Stand‑alone controls, BAS/BMS/BACnet controls, Startups & Reporting, Balancing refrigerant, VRF systems, Heaters, Air Handlers, HVLS Fans, Exhaust systems, Line sets, Insulation, Jacketing, Thermometers and gauges, Filters and filtration, Transitions and offsets, Snaplock and Flex. Be an honest, growth‑oriented team player capable of doing whatever takes to work safely. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Regularly required to stand and walk; lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Noise level is usually high.
