Job Title: Director of Clinic Operations

Reports to: Chief Innovation Officer

\n

\n

Heritage Medical Partners, a multi-location physician-led medical practice in Nashville, TN is entering an exciting phase of growth and continued development.

\n

\n

This position provides operational oversight, leadership, and direction to the Clinic managers responsible for physician/provider clinics. Reporting to the Chief Innovation Officer, this person will work collaboratively with Clinic Managers, physicians/providers and senior leadership to address issues, improve processes, develop and implement applicable policies, procedures and workflows, maintain open lines of communication, onboard and performance-manage team members, and further develop a culture consistent with the company's high standards of ethical and business conduct and compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):

\n

 Oversees Clinic Managers in the performance of their assigned job duties to

\n

ensure clinic operations are functioning in accordance with established policies, procedures, rules, and regulations

\n

 Promotes a work culture that enhances employee morale via open and honest communication;

\n

being visible, accessible, and approachable to physicians/providers and staff; and demonstrating a strong work ethic and positive, helpful approach in all interactions

\n

 Routinely communicates with Clinic Managers, physicians/providers, senior

\n

leadership and staff on all issues needed to drive operational excellence

\n

 Works collaboratively with physicians/providers, Clinic Managers and the Director of Ancillary Operations to monitor operations, programs, and physical properties to ensure compliance with all accrediting bodies and regulatory agencies governing healthcare delivery

\n

 Meets regularly with Nursing Director to provide feedback on and support for clinical staff onboarding, training and performance

\n

 Leads and develops efficient processes for the recruitment/hiring of Clinic Managers in close collaboration with Human Resources, physicians and senior leadership

\n

 Supports Clinic Managers in their daily staffing duties

\n

 Resolves issues and problems regarding Clinic Managers, staff, and patients in a timely, collaborative, and efficient manner, updating CInO as appropriate

\n

 Conducts regular meetings with Clinic Managers to share organizational updates and provide training/education

\n

 Ensures required training is conducted and documentation is completed for all direct reports and staff regarding OSHA, fire drills, Benefits Open Enrollment, employee events, staff development, 401k retirement program participation and planning, etc.

\n

 Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet organizational needs

\n

\n

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

\n

 Strong managerial, leadership, and organizational skills

\n

 Excellent communication (oral and written) skills

\n

 Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities and develop action items

\n

 Understanding of the overall operations of a medical practice organization

\n

 Ability to multi-task/project manage in a fast-paced, changing environment

\n

 Ability to effectively and collaboratively interface with all levels of employees – staff, senior leaders, and physicians/providers

\n

 Fiscal mindset with the ability to budget and balance enhancements to improve delivery of care

\n

\n

Education/Experience Requirements:

\n

 Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing or related field of study from an accredited college or university

\n

 3+ years of healthcare management experience at a Director level, preferably in a physician practice

\n

 Experience managing staff in a multi-site environment

\n

 Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare-related rules, regulations, laws, regulatory agencies, etc.

\n

 Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

\n

 EPIC experience

\n

\n

 Demonstrated leadership abilities and effective team management

\n

\n

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

\n

 Ability to stand/walk up to nine hours/day

\n

 Requires bending, stooping, pushing and pulling

\n

 Ability to undertake frequent typing and computer work

\n

 Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.

\n

 Clinical setting – exposure to communicable diseases, medical preparations and other conditions common to a clinical environment

\n

 Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens or contaminated body fluids
