Job duties include visual inspection for defects on small automotive parts, sorting, testing, inspection, and rework. Assure company standards are maintained, and product integrity is preserved throughout the procedure. Adhere to identified standards of safety and quality. Accurately complete paperwork; use addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Works under a supervisor and needs to understand oral and written instructions. Performs visual and dimensional inspections and/or tests materials per written instruction. Operates equipment like go/no-go gauges, standard gauges, micrometers, and other test equipment. May use hand tools like crimpers, drills, and files. Marks the type of defect on rejected parts and documents as instructed in work instructions. Process tags and non-conforming material documents.

Education requirements include a high school diploma or GED. Experience requirements include experience inspecting manufactured products using established quality standards and specifications. Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, or inspection documents. Knowledge of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring devices. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and document inspection results accurately. Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Preferred qualifications include previous quality inspection, quality assurance, manufacturing, or production experience. Technical training in manufacturing, quality assurance, or inspection procedures is beneficial. Experience performing first article, in-process, or final product inspections is beneficial. Knowledge of ISO standards, statistical process control, quality documentation, or corrective action procedures is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate accuracy, professionalism, and a commitment to producing high-quality work are well positioned for success as a Quality Inspector.

Physical capabilities include the ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform inspection activities throughout the shift. Ability to lift products or materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required. Ability to use precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment with accuracy. Ability to maintain visual focus and attention to detail while inspecting products in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
