Job Details Setting: Home Health Assignment Length: 13 weeks Start Date: 09/07/2026 End Date: 12/05/2026 Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM EST On-Call/Weekend Coverage: One day per week and one weekend per month Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,120-$2,230 Employment Type: Travel RN Work Environment: Field-based patient care with independent home visits throughout the assigned service area Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs Job Requirements Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice Minimum of 1 year of home health nursing experience Experience using HomeCare HomeBase (PointCare) EMR Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Associate degree in nursing or higher Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work independently in patient homes and make sound clinical judgments Strong communication, organization, and time management skills Comfortable with autonomous patient assessment, skilled nursing care, and care coordination Responsibilities Perform comprehensive in-home patient assessments during initial and follow-up visits Evaluate vital signs, symptoms, medication adherence, home safety, and daily living needs Develop and update individualized plans of care based on patient status and physician orders Deliver skilled nursing care, including medication administration, injections, IV therapy when ordered, and wound care Support recovery through post-hospital and post-surgical follow-up care Monitor patient progress and identify early signs of complications or decline Educate patients and caregivers on medications, disease processes, self-care, and infection prevention Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, social workers, aides, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team Document home health visits accurately and on time to support regulatory and quality standards Provide compassionate advocacy, emotional support, and patient-centered care in the home setting Apply now to join this Farmington Hills, MI home health nursing opportunity and bring skilled, compassionate care to patients where they feel most comfortable.
