Quality Inspector - Weekend

We are currently seeking a Quality Inspecto r for our Shields Manufacturing facility in Tualatin Oregon. Under general supervision, assist the Quality Manager in the execution of the Quality Management System at Shields Manufacturing with regards to product inspections, first article submissions, corrective and preventive actions, internal audits as well as customer and supplier communication and data submittals. Additionally, the inspector will provide inputs and coaching to continually improve the understanding and adherence to quality assurance disciplines across the company. Full Time , location Tualatin OR Schedule : Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm (we offer 10% shift differential on this schedule) Salary range: $25 to $28 per hour. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential Duties: Perform, document and communicate results of product inspections, to include dimensional, visual and functional inspections of raw materials, detail parts, components and sub-assemblies, by utilizing: Precision hand-held measurement equipment Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Functional Test Equipment E2, Shop Operating System Customer on-line Portal Review acceptance criteria defined by Shields Manufacturing or by customer documents to insure appropriate inspection methods and to identify and document any drawing / specification errors. Education/Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of experience serving as a quality assurance inspector in a production environment. Demonstrated skills identifying, measuring and managing product Key Characteristics. Demonstrated knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) guidelines and practices. Proficiency using Microsoft Office (word, excel, and outlook). Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to demonstrate attention to detail in completing assignments and in communicating to internal and external representatives. Work Setting A combination of general office setting, with typical moderate noise levels in a temperature-controlled environment, and a production shop environment with machining and assembly operations.
