Benefits Medical, dental, and vision benefits Life insurance Short‑term and long‑term disability coverage 403(b) retirement plan Paid holidays and time off Dependent tuition benefit Other perks and perquisites of joining High Point University Health Qualifications Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene Current North Carolina Dental Hygienist license (or immediate eligibility) CPR certification required; BLS certification is a plus Preferred clinical experience in a high‑functioning dental office, preferably in an assisted hygiene model Experience with an electronic medical record (EPIC training is a major plus, but not necessary) Local anesthesia training is a plus Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, and dental patient screening and medical history documentation Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management, and punctuality Positive attitude, professionalism, and receptiveness to feedback, performance improvement, and continuous coaching Flexibility to cover other offices under High Point University Health Essential Functions Provide elite HPU Health care through prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, patient education, and other clinical functions Continuously assess the hygiene schedule to ensure optimum patient flow Respond to patient, clinical, and operational concerns promptly and effectively Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical Operations Support practice and organizational goals Accountability The Director of Clinical Operations evaluates performance. Ongoing performance reviews are conducted along with an annual assessment by the CDO and include input from the faculty and students.
