Travel Med Surg RN

Role: Med Surg RN responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units. Key Responsibilities Assess patient health conditions, monitor cardiac telemetry data, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans. Administer medications and treatments following nursing standards, explain procedures to patients and families, and prepare patients for diagnostic procedures. Maintain a safe, comfortable environment, document patient information accurately, and ensure infection control practices. Coordinate discharge planning and advocate for patient needs, ensuring smooth transitions from hospital to home. Manage multiple patients efficiently, prioritize care, and perform other duties within the scope of practice. Qualifications & Skills One year of recent Med Surg RN experience and valid RN license. Current BLS certification; NIHSS and ACLS certifications preferred. Strong clinical, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in reading, writing, PC skills, and physical ability to assist with procedures. Ability to work under pressure, handle irregular schedules, and maintain attention to detail.
