ACCOUNTANT

AccountantWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Client Accounting Services team. This is an elevated bookkeeping and accounting role that goes well beyond data entry — you will serve as a trusted financial partner to a portfolio of clients, owning the full-cycle accounting process and delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial information. A CPA license or active candidacy is strongly preferred and will be given significant weight in the selection process.Key ResponsibilitiesManage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of clients, including AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenancePrepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAPPerform month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliationsAnalyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement; communicate findings clearly to clientsAssist clients with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow managementCoordinate with internal and external tax CPAs, and external auditorsMaintain organized, audit-ready client files and documentationProactively identify and communicate accounting issues or irregularities to senior team membersStay current on changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and best practicesContribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and client service deliveryRequirementsRequiredBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting or outsourced accounting environmentStrong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principlesProficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar platforms)Advanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracyStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneouslyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrongly PreferredActive CPA license or CPA candidateExperience in a client-facing or outsourced accounting (CAS) environmentFamiliarity with bill.com, Gusto, ADP, or similar platforms
