Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an ICU setting, maintaining standards appropriate to unit acuity and skillset
• Float to like units or lower acuity units across up to 5 hospital campuses as needed (excluding the ED)
• Expected to work 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week cycle and at least one holiday, including the associated holiday weekend
• Complete all assigned non-billable compliance modules by the required deadlines
• Utilize EPIC (or combined EPIC/Cerner) electronic health record system throughout the course of care

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License (Temporary or Permanent; no EMSA) required at time of submittal
• BLS (AHA) required
• ACLS (AHA) required
• NIHSS required (may be obtained or renewed during onboarding if needed)
• Minimum 2+ years of concurrent experience in ICU specialty
• Travel nursing experience required
• EPIC or combined EPIC/Cerner experience within the last 6 months of work history required
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off (RTO); no new RTO requests after submittal
• 1 supervisory-level reference required at time of submission
• Valid copies of all required certifications (and Nursys verification for RNs) must be submitted with application
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates who have been on assignment in the San Diego area for the last 9 or more months are considered local and are not eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience floating across multiple hospital campuses or health system locations
• Familiarity with high-acuity ICU environments and step-down or telemetry units
• Flexibility with interview availability, including same-day and next 3 business days (with time zone noted)
