This role involves inspection, metrology, auditing processes, and working closely with production teams to maintain compliance and improve manufacturing processes.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform receiving inspections and document results within required timelinesConduct set-up verifications, station checks, and in-process inspectionsComplete gauge calibrations, weld certifications, and quality auditsInspect and document nonconforming and rejected materialsRe-inspect parts after rework to ensure compliance with specificationsVerify gauges for proper identification, calibration status, and conditionMaintain accurate and timely inspection and quality recordsNotify management promptly when nonconforming parts are identifiedEvaluate manufacturing processes and recommend proper gauging solutionsMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentSupport production teams to meet quality and output goalsQualificationsStrong knowledge of manufacturing processes and proceduresExtensive experience in inspection, quality control, and auditingSolid understanding of metrology and gauge calibration/repairBasic mechanical troubleshooting skillsAbility to define problems, collect data, and make sound decisionsStrong attention to detail and accuracyEffective communication and teamwork skillsPreferred SkillsExperience with quality management systems (QMS)Familiarity with calibration standards and measurement systemsRoot cause analysis and continuous improvement experiencePhysical Requirements: Frequent climbing, bending, twisting and/or lifting approximately 55 pounds.
