The Global Sales Enablement, Pricing & Transformation (SPT) team within GCS is instrumental in ensuring achievement of these objectives. The Senior Analyst position within SPT offers you the opportunity to be part of this dynamic organization and help GCS navigate towards growth.This position reports to the Senior Manager, US SME Middle Market Acquisition. This role will work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance and Incentive Governance to provide strategic analyses, insights, sales performance, and thought leadership to support the Middle Market Acquisition organization. The Senior Analyst will support strategic initiatives and run-the-business activities from analysis through implementation, helping balance business growth, sales effectiveness, and colleague experience. The role will also help define success metrics and develop reporting that enables leadership to understand business performance and measure the impact of key initiatives.ResponsibilitiesSupport strategic revenue growth and other initiatives by partnering with cross-functional teams to evaluate opportunities, establish success metrics, track results and pro-actively provide updates.Champion data-driven decision making by developing analyses and insights that help business partners navigate change and make informed decisions.Analyze sales performance and business results, identifying key drivers, emerging trends, opportunities and risks, translating findings into actionable recommendations for leadership.Support annual goal-setting and incentive initiatives through modeling, analysis, performance tracking, and development of clear communicationPartner with key collaborators, including but not limited to Business Blueprint leadership, Marketing, Incentive Governance, and Enterprise Digital & Analytics to solve business challenges and advance key priorities.Manage multiple priorities and workstreams while adapting quickly as business needs evolve.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Experience working with large and/or unstructured datasets.Working knowledge of SQL/Hive, Excel, Tableau, Python, and PowerPointStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights and recommendations.Strategic and curious thinker with strong business acumen and an interest in identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.2+ years of relevant work experience Bachelor’s degreePreferred Qualifications:Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to independently drive workstreams and deliver results.Resourceful self-starter with the ability to navigate ambiguity, apply structured thinking, and balance analytical rigor with speed and business practicality.Ability to connect broader business strategies and objectives to specific analyses, initiatives, and recommendations.Strong consultative and relationship-building skills with the ability to partner effectively with business leaders and cross-functional teams to solve complex business challengesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor insights and recommendations to the audience.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deliver results in a dynamic business environment.Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
