Hours: Part-time - approximately 9-10 hours per week
Schedule: 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, 3 days per week (schedule determined by intern based on client needs)
Homme Youth & Family Programs is seeking a Clinical Intern to join our team in Wittenberg, WI. This internship opportunity is designed for students actively enrolled in a master's degree program through an accredited college or university. Under the supervision of experienced clinicians, interns gain hands-on experience providing assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic services to youth, adults, and families while developing professional skills in a supportive learning environment.
This is a part-time paid internship at 9-10 hours/week.

What You'll Do
- Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy services to clients, as guided by the Clinical Supervisor.
- Conduct formal assessment of client needs using clinical interviews, objective diagnostic tools, and input from collateral contacts.
- Develop treatment plans collaboratively with clients and provide agreed-upon therapeutic services utilizing strength-based and evidence-based best practices.
- Maintain detailed clinical records and make recommendations concerning case disposition.
- Complete agency-required phone calls, emails, and paperwork in a professional and timely manner.
- Adhere to high ethical, professional, and legal standards, including Wisconsin State Statutes, HIPAA, Council on Accreditation standards, and applicable professional association guidelines.
- Actively participate in clinical supervision meetings to meet best practice and licensure standards.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in training and quality improvement activities as required.
- Work a flexible weekly schedule that may include evening and/or weekend hours based on client needs.
- Collaborate with the Program Supervisor, Manager, and Clinical Supervisor to establish scheduling expectations while managing client appointments.
- Serve as a representative of the agency to clients, professionals, and community groups as needed.
- Participate in specialized programs, marketing efforts, community outreach, and speaking engagements as assigned.
- Travel to various locations for meetings, trainings, and clinical responsibilities as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring
- Active enrollment in a Master's degree program in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy required.
- Written internship agreement between the educational institution and LSS.
- Ability to complete and demonstrate competency in all required trainings.
- Knowledge of behavioral health diagnoses and evidence-based treatment approaches.
- Ability to design and implement clinical pathways and treatment protocols for mental health and behavioral conditions.
- Ability to respond effectively to client contacts, including telephone and telehealth interactions.
- Ability to develop and facilitate psychoeducational programming and group curricula under supervision.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with clients, providers, colleagues, and support staff.
- Sound judgment and the ability to navigate challenging situations calmly, professionally, and equitably.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with community partners and professional stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Comfort working collaboratively with primary care and medical providers in a consultative environment.
- Demonstrated patience, flexibility, self-control, professionalism, and healthy personal boundaries.
Certificates, Licenses & Registrations
- Valid driver's license required.
- Reliable transportation required to perform essential job duties.
- Must maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) in accordance with the LSS Driver Safety Procedure.
- Must meet LSS auto insurance requirements.
Travel Requirements
- Ability to travel to and from locations throughout the service area as needed.
- Travel may account for up to 25% of work time depending on program and client needs.
