Registered Nurse (RN) - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) - Full-Time Nights

Position Overview Registered Nurse (RN) – Full-Time Nights – Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) Unit Location & Hours Work location: Texas Health HEB, 1600 Hospital Parkway Bedford, TX 76022. Work hours: Full-Time, Nights Shift, 36 hours weekly, 3–12 hour shifts, 6:30 pm – 6:30 am – Self‑Scheduling. Key Unit Highlights Siratt Women’s Center at Texas Health Hurst Euless Bedford (HEB) Hospital 16 bed NICU unit with an average of 200 deliveries a month Level III NICU – Maternal Designation III Requirements Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred. Registered Nurse (RN) credential upon hire. BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly. NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days. NRPA – Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days. CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days. 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required. 1 year of RN experience in NICU strongly preferred. What You Will Do Deliver care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process. Assess the patient. Plan the care of the patient. Intervene as appropriate. Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions. Incorporate age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care. Initiate action to meet patient and/or significant others’ need for information. Maintain continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
