Job Title: RN – Critical Care (Day Shift Only)

Location: Syracuse, NY

Duration: 14 Weeks

Shift: Day Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts

Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced Critical Care Registered Nurses to join Adult ICU teams within a high-acuity acute care hospital environment. Nurses will be assigned to ICU units based on prior experience and clinical background.

The ideal candidate will have recent critical care experience in large acute care hospitals or Level I/II Trauma Centers, strong assessment skills, and the ability to provide high-quality patient care with minimal orientation and supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients in ICU settings
• Perform detailed patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
• Monitor, evaluate, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and critical care interventions according to physician orders and hospital protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Utilize EPIC Electronic Medical Records for documentation and patient care management
• Respond effectively to emergency and rapidly changing patient situations
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and care teams
• Float between Adult ICU units based on staffing and patient care needs

Required Qualifications:
• Active New York State RN License required
• Current BLS Certification required
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent critical care experience within the past 2 years in an acute care hospital of similar size and acuity required
• Previous experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center required
• EPIC Electronic Medical Record experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal orientation and supervision
• Must have a clean professional license history with no suspensions or investigations

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in large academic medical centers or high-volume trauma hospitals
• Strong Adult ICU background across multiple critical care specialties

Schedule & Shift Details:
• Day Shift
• Adult ICU assignments based on experience
• Every Other Weekend Required
• Some Holidays Required
• Set schedules provided
• Extended time-off requests exceeding 7 days will not be approved
