Senior Water Resources Engineer / Project ManagerAMT is growing and is seeking a highly motivated Senior Water Resources Engineer / Project Manager, with 7+ years of relevant experience, to join our growing team of design professionals in our Charlotte, NC office. The right candidate would lead water resources engineering tasks for transportation-related projects for NCDOT, SCDOT and North and South Carolina localities.This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to lead, manage and deliver challenging projects in the growing Carolina market and grow into a management position. We offer competitive compensation & benefits, flexible work arrangements, and a potential relocation allowance for the right candidate.ResponsibilitiesCompletion of calculations, reports and plans in support of transportation projects including stormwater management, storm drainage systems, culverts, open channels, bridge hydraulics and erosion and sediment control.Perform Hydrologic and Hydraulic analysis and reporting.Obtain permit approvals from state and local agencies.Assist in the preparation of engineering documents (plans, reports, cost estimates and specifications) for Advertisement and Construction.Meet and work directly with clients and public agency officials.Work in collaboration with a Transportation design team comprised of other disciplines and support staff on multi-disciplinary projects.Provide QA/QC review following AMT and client-based procedures.Required QualificationsBS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Water Resources.Minimum of 7 years of water resources related experience including plan and report production.Hydrology and hydraulic modeling experience (storm drainage, SWM, floodplain, bridge) with commonly used software.North Carolina-licensed Professional Engineer required. South Carolina PE Preferred.NCDOT experience highly preferred.CADD experience with MicroStation/OpenRoads required.Excellent organizational, coordination and communication skills, both written and verbal.Why Join AMT?At AMT, we understand that our most valuable asset is our staff.
