ResponsibilitiesThe team is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to support our Cyber Mission business unit in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this role, you will contribute to developing and enhancing cloud-based applications that directly support national security operations.You’ll work in a collaborative Agile environment leveraging DevOps tools and modern cloud technologies to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable solutions. This role is ideal for junior engineers with an active TS/SCI clearance and polygraph who are looking to grow their skills in a mission-driven environment.This position is performed onsite at a contractor facility, with telework flexibility based on tasking and customer approval.#MDFSPQualificationsBasic Qualifications:Active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph is requiredTwo (2) years of experience in software development/engineering or related technical experienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field may substitute for two (2) years of experience – Acceptable fields include Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similarExperience with Java development (academic or professional)Experience using Git or GitLabPreferred QualificationsExposure to full-stack development (Java and/or JavaScript)Familiarity with React or Vue.jsExperience working with REST APIs and JSONFamiliarity with MongoDBExposure to Docker and containerization conceptsFamiliarity with Kubernetes or other container orchestration toolsExposure to AWS or other cloud platformsFamiliarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins)Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)One of the following certifications is desired: – AWS Certified Developer – Associate – AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional – Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)DesiredA cloud certification is desiredPeraton OverviewPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
