Social Content Creator (Contract)

Location: Kannapolis, NC (Hybrid. One day a week on site.) About the Role We’re looking for a Social Content Creator who wants to create consistently while also building a deeper understanding of how content drives brand and growth. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who lives online, loves making content, and is curious about the intersection of creativity and marketing strategy. You’ll spend most of your time concepting, filming, and editing short‑form content remotely, with one dedicated day per week on‑site capturing warehouse footage, product moments, and behind‑the‑scenes content. The rest of the week, you’ll shoot additional footage at home and you’ll work independently to turn that footage into engaging, platform‑native content. Beyond execution, you’ll also collaborate closely with the Brand and Marketing team, gaining exposure to how we think about positioning, storytelling, and how REBEL shows up on social media. You will own certain parts of the marketing process. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to not only make content, but level up their marketing instincts and strategic thinking over time. You’ll work from a clear creative direction, with room to experiment, develop your voice, and learn what makes content truly perform. This is a contract role, not a full‑time position, and is best suited for someone local to Charlotte and able to commute once a week to Kannapolis. What You’ll Do Create short‑form video content for TikTok and Instagram Reels, from concept to finished asset Film on‑site 1 day per week in our Kannapolis, NC warehouse Capture product moments, deal highlights, unboxings, and behind‑the‑scenes footage Participate on camera when appropriate, or help direct others on camera Edit videos with light polish (cuts, text overlays, captions) Follow a weekly content concept calendar to plan filming in advance Stay tapped into trends, sounds, and formats—and flag opportunities to test Collaborate closely with the Brand team for feedback and iteration Deliver content on time and in line with brand and safety guidelines What We’re Looking For 1–3 years of experience creating social content (internships, freelance, or personal projects count) Demonstrated ability to create and edit short‑form video (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.) Strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram culture and formats Comfortable filming in real environments—not just studio setups Willingness to be on camera or help bring ideas to life on camera Good creative instincts and curiosity about what performs Ability to take direction, learn quickly, and iterate Organized, reliable, and comfortable working independently Basic video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, etc.) Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the U.S. Nice to Have (Not Required) Experience with product‑focused or retail content Background in fashion, beauty, wellness, lifestyle, or consumer brands Creator or influencer experience on your own social channels How We Measure Success Ability to consistently deliver a high volume of engaging, short‑form content Strong creative output with a steady flow of fresh, relevant ideas Willingness to push boundaries and experiment with new formats, trends, and storytelling approaches Ability to translate raw footage into compelling, platform‑native content Openness to feedback and ability to quickly iterate based on performance insights Reliability and ownership in managing content from creation through delivery Why You’ll Love Working at REBEL Purpose with impact: Join a Certified B Corporation solving the $1T returns crisis and helping consumers Shop Smarter while keeping millions of pounds of product out of landfills.
