About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its Kansas City site. The successful candidate will be a strategic and operational leader, responsible for driving program excellence, organizational growth, employer engagement, and community impact. This role demands a mission-driven individual with a strong background in workforce development, nonprofit management, or a related field, and a proven track record of leading high-performing teams. The Executive Director will oversee all local operations, from recruitment to career retention, and will be the primary ambassador for the organization, fostering relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including employers, funders, and community leaders. Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include providing strategic and operational leadership, ensuring the delivery of high-quality training programs, and maintaining a culture of transparency, trust, and mission-driven performance. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least 7 years of leadership experience, and a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. They should be adept at fundraising, have exceptional communication skills, and be able to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution. Experience in the local workforce, nonprofit, corporate, philanthropic, or technology ecosystem is preferred, as is a passion for developing diverse technology talent and advancing economic mobility through workforce development.
