We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join a bio company in La Jolla. This person will be responsible for account reconciliation, accounts payable, processing invoices and journal entries as well as SEC reporting, month end close and . The ideal candidate will have accounting experience, strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Apply below for consideration!

Duties :

• Generates invoices and send out
• Month end close
• SEC reporting
• Process and review contracts
• Write up memos for contract systems
• Posts customer payments by recording checks, wires, and credit card transactions.
• Clinical trials accrual
• Calls and/or emails customers for collection purposes.
• Monitors invoices for on time payment and sends AR statements.
• Notifies customers with delinquent accounts and records detailed notes on any communication with customers, including expected payment, financial status, collection efforts, etc.
• Researches and resolves billing issues 
• Prepares and enters journal entries.
  
• Monthly reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts
• Year-end audit as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting or related field
• 7-10+ years of experience
  
• Excellent communication skills, written and oral 
• Exceptional attention to detail 
• Must be highly organized
• Must have QuickBooks or NetSuite experience
• Must have Public accounting experience
• BioPharma experience highly preferred
