About the Position

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Level IV NICU – North Dakota

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Fargo, North Dakota

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour day/night rotating shifts with every other weekend; working with a Level IV NICU team in a 40-bed unit

Highlights:

• Level IV NICU accredited by the American Academy of Pediatrics – caring for the most critical neonatal patients
• 1:1 to 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios for critical and intermediate infants; 3:1 for growing and feeding infants
• EPIC charting system with comprehensive 2-day orientation and buddy training
• Advanced technology including conventional and high-frequency ventilators, nitric oxide, cool cap therapy, and specialized monitoring equipment
• Opportunity to float to PICU and Pediatrics units for professional growth and diverse experience
• 13-week assignment at a Level I Trauma Center with acute care setting

Requirements:

• Active North Dakota RN License or Compact State RN License (willingness to obtain ND license required)
• Minimum 2+ years of Level IV NICU nursing experience
• American Heart Association BLS Certification (required)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification (required)
• Demonstrated ability to administer medications through PICC lines
• Competency in neonatal assessments, IV and umbilical line care, CPAP, nasal cannula, oral and IV medications, and tube feedings
• EPIC experience highly preferred
• PICU and Pediatrics experience and willingness to float to these units
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility (distance-based rate adjustments apply for candidates living 60-80 miles from facility)
