BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking a Residential Advocate to join our compassionate team at Northside Behavioral Health. Position Details Facility: Northside Behavioral Health Location: Tampa, FL Type: Part Time, Hourly Shift Hours: 10:30 pm – 7:00 am Weekend Work: Every weekend On‑Call: No Responsibilities Monitors self‑administration of medications and reconciles medication records. Completes admission documents, living skills assessment treatment plans/updates, monthly progress notes, activity notes, discharge documents, environmental/infection control rounds and monthly fire drills. Teaches and educates residents on basic living skills, kitchen/fire safety, and preparation for weather emergencies. Assists with physical maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, and monitors supplies. Completes maintenance requests, fire extinguisher checks, weekly bedroom/bath or apartment inspections. Facilitates community meetings, social activities, and groups. Supports the supervisor and informs them of unusual situations or behaviors. Completes incident reporting, communication log entries, and shift report notes. Transports residents as needed. Communicates with the treatment team. Complies with AHCA regulations and mandates. Reports changes in condition to appropriate staff for intervention or hospitalization. Responds to emergencies according to program procedures. Provides direct monitoring and visual contact for residents deemed a risk to self or others. At group homes, monitors food inventory, prepares and serves meals per menu, ensures proper food handling, and documents substitutions. Conducts chart reviews for compliance. Requirements Basic cooking skills. Required experience: 6 months caretaking, customer service, behavioral health, or currently enrolled in a college degree program seeking a psychology, social work, or related field degree. Florida driver’s license (coverage requires drivers to be 21 years old with at least 2 years of driving experience; drivers over 69 may require a Driver’s Road test). BLS certification within the last 60 days. First Aid certification within the last 60 days. High School Diploma or equivalent.
