BrightStar Care of Iowa is hiring In-Home Caregivers, Personal Care Aides (PCAs), Home Health Aides (HHAs), and Companion Caregivers in Des Moines, West Des Moines, Ankeny, Urbandale, Johnston, Waukee, Altoona, Pleasant Hill, and surrounding areas.

What You'll Do
As a BrightStar Care In-Home Caregiver , you will provide one-on-one, personalized care to elderly clients and adults with disabilities in the comfort of their own homes. Duties may include:
- Personal care: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene assistance
- Mobility assistance and safe transfers
- Meal planning and preparation
- Medication reminders
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Companionship and emotional support
- Transportation to appointments and errands
- Monitoring and reporting changes in client condition
- Dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory care support
- Post-surgery and post-hospitalization care
- Respite care for family caregivers

Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance
- Must pass a background check and drug screen
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient-centered approach to care
- CNA, HHA, or PCA certification a plus - but not required!
- Experience in home care, senior care, assisted living, memory care, or personal care preferred but not required
