Travel Physical Therapist - $1,648 per week

Job Overview Fusion Medical Staffing‑Therapy seeks a Travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Start dates are ASAP, 40 hours per week on 8‑hour days. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Physical Therapy experience (new graduates welcome). Other certifications or licenses may be required. Job Summary The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Working in hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers, they create personalized, evidence‑based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy to help patients recover and become independent. Essential Work Functions Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely and effectively. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Collaborate in discharge planning for smooth transitions. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication. Reading, writing, and verbal communication in English. Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills. Physical abilities: standing, moving, moving 50–100 lbs, pushing, pulling, bending.
