Therapist - Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary:


Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders to improve their functional skills and quality of life. Develop individualized treatment plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients using standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to determine communication, cognitive, or swallowing deficits.
• Design and implement tailored therapy plans to address identified speech and language disorders.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies accordingly in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, families, and caregivers to coordinate care and provide education on communication strategies.
• Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries detailing services provided and patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services, treatment minutes, and regulatory compliance in electronic health records.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Missouri State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Certification from ASHA with CCC-SLP credential.
• Minimum of 1 year of SLP experience; new graduates with Level II supervised experience considered.
• Experience working in LTC or SNF settings preferred.
• Demonstrate strong clinical and communication skills, with the ability to supervise CFY or student SLPs.
• Adhere to ASHA and state practice acts, ethics, and professional conduct.
